Portable Nebulizer

For people prone to asthma or seasonal bronchitis, or any more serious pulmonary problem (like COPD), the portable nebulizer is a "must-have" when travelling or away from home. The device converts liquid medicine into a mist so that it can be inhaled directly into the lungs. It can be easily carried in a purse or any handbag to school or office or kept in the car too. Medicines like asthalin, salbutamol or emergency medicines, like budecort, which are steroids used to cure inflammation in the respiratory tract and in the lungs, can be simply poured into a slot in the nebulizer. The nebulizer throws out the medicine in a mist form which can be inhaled easily and is more effective in lesser time than oral medication. It is better than an inhaler since it requires less effort from the patient to inhale the medicine, there is little scope of error while using it and, it is useful when the quantity of medication to be given is more. Both plug-in and battery ones are available; AA battery ones are the most convenient. In some, the machine can be used for up to 4 hrs on a battery without a charger.
